Roctopus Concert Poster and Guitar Illustration

This poster/guitar wrap is the fastest I’ve had to produce an illustration. I was told one evening of the need for another illustration and had to have a finished piece done by the next morning. Luckily I already had an idea ready (sometimes that is what takes the most time) so I had a head start. I was kinda bummed that I didn’t get to spend more time on it, until I saw the guitar. It turned out better than I would have hoped. I can’t wait to do another.

I love that you make your animals with dead unreadable eyes. Makes me nervous for the kids.
Also that’s no octopus. It’s gotta be a millipus.

I’m always surprised at how they can take the posters that fill the page so well and are able to still make it look cool in the confines of a guitar. Do they wrap the back and sides also? I love the octopus. Just looking at it I can feel his sick squishy skin touching me.

Oh my gosh, that is the coolest. I have been looking for a cool picture of an octopus to put with this ridiculous poem Kyle’s brother wrote. How hard would it be to switch out the text? If you would allow me to do so (you know, without paying you royalties and such).
